A sports card break is when collectors purchase teams or spots in a sealed box or case of trading cards that is opened live.
Instead of buying an entire hobby box, participants buy a specific team or spot in the break. When the cards are opened live, any cards pulled for that team belong to the buyer.
Card breaks allow collectors to chase rare cards, rookie autographs, and limited parallels without purchasing the entire box themselves.
